Nationalratswahlen 07 - Don’t forget to elect!

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

As you may know, I am a candidate for the upcoming federal elections - Nationalratswahlen - on the list of the young liberals of canton Zurich - Jungfreisinnige des Kantons Zürich. If you want to know more about what I fight for, here’s my smartspider:

Flavio Rump Smartspider

You will find more information about me and other candidates on nr07.ch and smartvote, the highly successful election aid. More on it’s accuracy later.

Another very interesting online resource is the election stock exchange of NZZ and Uni Karlsruhe. In a quite sophisticated stock market environment (including bid and ask prices) players can trade parties share of votes. So if you believe that FDP is going to have more than 15 % of the votes, which they HOPEFULLY will, then you better go and start buying a lot of FDP shares right now.

Also join our facebook group: Ich wähle die Jungfreisinnigen and show us your support!

I’ll be happy to answer your questions regarding my politics and the politics of the Jungfreisinnige.

facebook Switzerland hits 42k - insane growth!

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

It’s been not even two months since I blogged about facebook Switzerland having 20k users. As of now, facebook Switzerland has 42k users. So we doubled in just about 8 weeks. If we continue at this growth rate, Switzerland’s whole population will be on facebook in just eight months.

Other growing networks are:

France: 150k users (tripled within those 8 weeks)

Germany: 100k users (also doubled)

Italy: 53k users (more than doubled)

Spain: 57k users (more than doubled)

You see, everyone is reporting almost insane growth in Europe. This could help legitimate the rumor of facebooks current 10 bn $ valuation.

Trigami closes Business Angel round

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

As you might have seen in cash daily of today or certainly in the german-speaking blogosphere, the Swiss blog marketing company Trigami successfully closed a business angel round, with well known Investors as Peter Schüpbach and Nicolas Berg  . Other Investors include Olaf Jacobi, serial entrepreneur, Peter Niederhauser and Dominik Tarolli.

Trigami’s official press release can be found here.

Big congratulation to you, Remo and Alain! This is a major step for the young company, who is already making substantial revenue. They are one of the few Web 2.0 companies out there whose business model is not advertising. With smart money in their hands, it should now be possible to accelerate growth quickly and sign some major deals in the near future.

The investors they have been able to attract is a clear signal in favor of this business model.

I wish trigami, with their hardworking founders, all the best!
