Flavio about Business 2.0

Always trying out new things, I created a facebook group called Flavio Rump in den Kantonsrat .

People can now easily join the group to show their support of my candidature. I am joining the ranks with US Presidential Candidates as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama who both use facebook to promote their candidature.

We’ll see in a couple of days on how well this is received.

Update 

I managed to invite over 40 people in my group, some of them which told me they voted for me and/or convinced someone to vote for me. Thus a success, even if 40 is not that great of a number yet.

Schülervz scheint von der Funktionalität auf den ersten Blick eine genaue Kopie von Studivz zu sein.

Stellt sich die Frage, wieso man ein Netzwerk freiwillig in zwei Teile teilt? Facebook läuft sehr gut auch in einem Netzwerk, mit Schülern, Studenten und Alumnis.

Hoffentlich kann man intern dann doch noch beide Netze nutzen, sonst macht es wirklich wenig Sinn.

Wie ich eben einer Werbung in meinem Hotmail account entnehmen durfte, scheint in Europa ein neues Social Network das Herz der Teenies zu eroberen.

Und es ist nicht studivz (http://www.studivz.net) , das vor wenigen Wochen für 85 Mio Euro an Holtzbrinck (http://www.holtzbrinck.com/) verkauft wurde.

Nein, ich spreche von facebox (http://www.facebox.com) , (ziemlich ähnlich facebook (http://www.facebook.com) , nicht?) einer aus Belgien stammende Communityseite, die jetzt sich durch ganz Europa wächst.

Sie scheinen Ihr Wachstum durch aggressives Marketing, z.B. Emails, voranzutreiben. Die Emails, die ich erhalten habe, stammten von zwei Leuten von denen ich noch nie etwas gehört habe. Woher facebox woll meine Adresse hat?

Ein grosses Plus für facebox dürften die tollen Übersetzungen in einzelne europäische Sprachen sein.

Wenn man auf alexa (http://www.alexa.com) schaut, scheint facebox studivz bereits überholt (http://www.alexaholic.com/studivz.net+facebox.com?y=r r=1y z=5) zu haben.

Facebox is definitely something to be watched…

Wie gerade auf Techcrunch (http://www.techcrunch.com) zu lesen ist, kann man jetzt auch auf das Wetter wetten. Das von einem ehemaligen Googler gegründete Startup Unternehmen nennt sich Weatherbill (http://www.weatherbill.com) und wird unterstützt von All Star Investoren wie Niklas Zennström (Skype) und Joshua von del.icio.us, sowie weiteren bekannten Venture Capitalist Unternehmungen.

Just watching through Joe's Goals Inspiration list (http://www.joesgoals.com/get_inspired/index.cfm) , when I noticed that facebook (http://www.facebook.com) was selected by some users as a negative goal.

Negative goals on Joe's Goals (http://www.joesgoals.com) are things you should not do, but you can track whenever you do it with Joe's Goals. It's a very neat application by the way.

I think it's hilarious. Facebook is one of the biggest successes in Web 2.0, because people seem to be addicted to it. It's great to see some folks realised how much time they spend on facebook and how much of that time is probably wasted. Funny to see it written down at Joe's Goals as one of the most popular negative goals…
